So, our director man told me
that we didn’t have a pick-up rehearsal on Tuesday. We were in tech for 14 days straight, plus opening and 4 shows this week (ending yesterday,) PLUS all the extra hours I spent painting the set.
Not having a pick-up means we’re dark for two days.
I legitimately teared up when he said that.
Life is good.

I conducted a 3 1/2 hour scene change rehearsal last night for the most set-heavy show CMU has seen in years.

So, I got hired to do lights a long time ago for...
We’re setting up for a show now…
They hired this Sound company to do all their stuff - they’ve been here since 9 am setting up. They’re still not ready for the sound check, and it’s 3.
Not to mention that this is our FOURTH show. This has happened EVERY time. Without fail.
I don’t know why they don’t just hire my sound friends - then *maybe*...
